ALLY v.1.0 FAQ

What is the point of ALLY?

The point of ALLY is to try a new approach at language learning, to apply the well known psychological concept of positive reinforcement to a learning chatbot.

Is ALLY concious?

No. As of yet, no one has been able to clearly define conciousness in humans, much less devise a method of developing a concious robot.

How does ALLY work?

ALLY uses a set of algorithms that takes every sentence and analyzes them, keeping statistical records of each word. Then, ALLY generates a gramatically correct sentence of her own, or chooses a positively reinforced sentence as a response. More information is available in the readme file.

Will there be updates and revisions of ALLY?

I'm expecting so. All updates will be available on the site.

Can I access the source code for ALLY?

If you would like the source code, email me, and I will send you the Visual Basic source files. (VB6)

ALLY crashed. Now what?

If ALLY crashes for any reason, and the error persists, email me and tell me about the bug.
